The last few weeks life has tried to get in the way of fishing. I have been fortunate to be able to get out a couple times the last few days with some friends and family. I have found that just getting out makes day to day task easier to complete. We have been able to boat a lot of fish, tell some great stories, and make some new memories. The Bighorn River is fishing well, it can be a bit streaky. We have been doing well early and mid afternoon. Although temperatures of the water have started to become an issue. The flows are up slightly, the color is also off, but that is making it better for the fishing. We continue to collect moss on most long drifts, that is just part of the game this time a year. The Sweetwater River is looking really good and should be fishing well soon. The Green River is a concern, water levels are really low. With no signs of improving. That combined with the temperature is making for some poor condition for the fish. Fish can still be caught just be smart and don’t ruin the fishery. Flies well a little of everything, but standard flies are working best.
