The day started with catching a nice rainbow (20+) followed by an 18′ rainbow in the same run. The pseudo beatis where actively hatching, the fish were actively hitting the top filling up with the tiny bugs. Several nice fish were feeding early and were replaced with some smaller fish. We enjoyed the best dry fly conditions of the year. As the day progressed the larger fish started feeding on nymphs and worms. We threw streamers for a while and didn’t have any takers. The top flies were worms and baetis nymphs. Weather was perfect but it is fall and that could change every minutes.
